I Twitter Indonesia - Twitter Launches in Dutch & Indonesian

Twitter: Dutch and Indonesian Translations. Twitter (twitter.com) launched in Dutch and Indonesian on Monday 01.08.2011, bringing the twitter microblogging service’s total count of supported languages to eleven (11).

Dutch and Indonesian were the first two languages to be fully translated by a team of volunteers, who worked through Twitter’s Translation Center (http://translate.twttr.com/welcome) to translate twitter.com, support pages, and the service’s desktop and mobile applications.

The addition of more languages should continue to fuel Twitter’s growth in areas where English is not the primary language. The San Francisco-based startup plans to launch in Filipino and Malay next, the company said in a blog post ("It takes a community to translate Twitter" http://blog.twitter.com/2011/08/it-takes-community-to-translate-twitter.html).
